HR- A New Lead Source

Here on Super Agents Live, we discuss a lot of different lead generation avenues. Today, we’re proud to introduce a new one for you to try – the HR Departments of big businesses in your area. Teresa shares her tips on how to tap into this lucrative lead source:

  1. Keep Up With The News: Companies are always expanding, so keep an eye out in your local paper or news channel for these updates. Because HR usually helps people relocate, this will show you which companies to target.
  2. Become An Insider: In order to benefit from this lead source, you need to focus on becoming the preferred agent for HR teams. Make them your lead and become friends with them with frequent follow up.
  3. Prove Yourself: When the opportunity finally presents itself, prove your local area expertise to the HR heads and show them you are reliable by doing whatever it takes for their future employees.
  4. Go Above & Beyond: Unlike local buyers, most relocated employees come to scope properties without their families. Make sure you go above and beyond to ensure the remainder of the family feels included in the relocation by sending informative packages with local area insight.

Succeeding In Real Estate

As someone who has built a successful business, Teresa offers the following tips for success:

  1. Find a mentor: A mentor is the fastest way to fast track your success and cut the learning curve. Take in everything they teach you and, most importantly, take action.
  2. Hustle: When you first start, your only priority should be deal flow. Hustle by making more calls and working with busy agents for a cut of the commission. This gives you cash flow while you establish your own lead sources and systems.
  3. Plan: Agents that succeed in real estate treat it like a business. That means they have a concrete plan with budgets in place, systems and methods of executions. Most importantly, don’t forget to save for the tax man- that’s a rookie mistake.
  4. Be passionate: Real estate is a numbers game. You are going to face a lot of rejection, so you have to be passionate about the work every single day.
  5. Be ready to sacrifice: There are only 24 hours in a given day, so you will have to be prepared to sacrifice certain thing in pursuit of your success. Make a list and prioritize the most revenue generating activities first.
  6. Consider A Team: Like a mentor, joining a successful team will show you how to succeed fast. Furthermore, you have a constant stream of leads and no overhead!
