The real estate industry is full of competition. To dominate your market, you need to have credibility and exposure- you need to be everywhere. Here’s how radio can help you become an expert and dominate your market:
- Instant Credibility: By being on top radio stations in your market, you will receive instant credibility from your audience. Potential leads get to vet you straight on and get to know your personality, as opposed to agents that never make contact with people they market to.
- Find Your Voice: Adrienne and Attilio have their own radio show, but you can be just as effective with radio ads. Whichever you choose, find a style and voice that represent you and your personality to your audience. For Adrienne and Attilio, they have chosen to focus on edutainment: education your audience in a fun way.
- Reinforce Your Marketing: Radio is a great tool to reinforce all your other marketing and bring it together. Hearing you on the radio after receiving your flyers and calls will keep you fresh in your leads mind as the go-to agent/team in your market.

- Subdue Your Ego: Ego is one of the main things that get in the way of an agents success. Most agents feel like no one can do a better job at operation the business like them. Honestly evaluate yourself, find your weaknesses and hire accordingly.
- Start Small: Your first hire may be hard, so start small. Begin with a single assistant that will deal with all operational activities, from follow-up to generating listing agreements. As you grow, and feel more comfortable, delegate buyer and seller listings too as you focus on growing your business.
- Work On Your Database: Focus on cultivating strong relationships with your database of past clients and generating referrals. Educating your database to refer business should be done via e-mail and personal phone calls monthly.
- Build A Strategic Business: Unlike an economy-driven business that grows and falls with the booms and busts of the market, a strategic business is one that is constantly adapting to the market. No matter the state of the economy, homeowners will always be buying and selling- the only thing that will change is the type of sale you will be working. When the market crashed and agents were losing clients, Adrienne and her team adapted to focus on short selling and not only succeeded, but thrived.
- Create A Passionate Culture: To succeed in this business, you need to create a culture where you and your team are passionate about helping others. There will be days when you get faced with rejection, so keeping a positive attitude daily is crucial to your success. Not to mention that by having the right attitude, leads will be drawn to you. Leads would rather work with a good person over a perfect agent.
