Ready to become a top producing agent? Today on the show we have Lars Hedenborg who will share the steps he took to building his business to 400 transactions working only 2 days a week.

Lars entered the market during the 2008 meltdown. Unlike most agents however, he trudged through it all one transaction at a time and, today, runs a fully automated team of 4 staff and 9 agents. Get ready to learn how to get out of the never ending production loop, attract top talent and design your real estate career.

 Design Your Business

Real estate is full of opportunities. Yet most agents get stuck in a never ending loop of production that limits their growth and income potential. Lars shares key principles and actions you need to have in place to ensure your business grows into a company:

 1. Create a business from day one: Most agents enter real estate and think of it as a job. That’s the wrong way to think about it- from the get go, you need to design your schedule and systems as if you are running a business. For those people just starting, that means only focusing on dollar-producing activities and delegating the rest.

 2. Create systems: After working hard for the first year, you can’t hire a second agent and expect him or her to duplicate your success. As a solo realtor, you need to be creating duplicatable systems from the first day you get into the business. That way, when you start expanding your business, your agents will know exactly how to follow up, farm, and generate leads. This leaves no extra expenses, guess work or confusion and helps his agents earn more than 90% of realtors in his market.

 3. Think long-term: Creating proper, duplicatable systems will require you to shift your mindset and invest in your business for the long run. For many agents, this is the hardest to execute and one of the main reasons they seldom grow. By investing in BoomTown before having a team, Lars was able to use it as a big value proposition for attracting future talent.

 4. Hustle: As a realtor, you have to be willing to challenge yourself everyday. This isn’t a job, and the only way you are going to get paid what you are worth is if you produce. Today, many agents try to outsource everything from lead generation to follow ups- they want the easy business. You have to be willing to what most agents aren’t: 1. Focus your time 2. Stick to your schedule 3. Focus on the top line.

How To Win In Real Estate

 1. Eye on the prize: At the end of the day, we are all chasing success for one reason or another. Keep your eye on the prize and do whatever it takes to get there. For Lars, automating his business was all in order to be a great dad, a better husband, take care of his health and many other personal goals.

 2. Focus on what matters: You’ve heard it many times on Super Agents Live- focus on dollar-producing activities. Every step you take in your business should lead growth. Today, Lars does this by advertising on radio and designing his direct mail campaigns to convert into direct responses from his farm, FISBOs and expired leads.

 3. Invest in yourself: Personal development is just as important to succeed as hustling, especially for agents. Read, find a mentor and get training from the best minds in the industry. Check out our deal with CorcoranCoaching.com below!
